As the main contractor, Sayer Drainage awarded One Electrical the contract to supply and install a new 2 pump Sewer pump control cabinet for the St Kilda Sub division in Cambridge. We found out that the existing panel layout in the council subdivision manual was currently under review. So using our initiative we met up with Waipa District Council to go over panel designs and requirements so we could deliver a product they were happy with. Prior to manufacturing we submitting proposed layouts to the council for approval.
As part of the scope of the job, we installed variable speed drives to the pumps and set up pump flow controls so the station was trickle feeding the main pump station upstream. We liased with the council nominated telemetry contractor to set up the Abbey telemetry system back to the base station and configure.
Once the site was in operation and handed over to the Waipa District council we put on a training session with the council operators.
