Pacesetter Print, a commercial print company, approached us to assist them in relocating their operations from one part of Hamilton to another. With a large range of print machines, driers, UV systems, wash-bays and a packaging line, this was no small task.
The emphasis on this project was to limit the downtime, as while they are not printing, they are not fulfilling orders for their customers. The building that Pacesetter were to relocate to, was inherently unsuitable for a printing operation, and required extensive aesthetic works to ensure a clean, print friendly environment. Pre-work included arranging for a capacity increase from the utility provider, increasing service mains, supply and installing a new Distribution Board, Cable Systems and upgrading the factory lighting.
The machine relocates required disconnect, transport and reconnect at the new site, before testing and re-commissioning. Our scope was obviously in conjunction with various other trades required to complete the task of each machine becoming operational in short timeframes. We enjoy challenges, and this was no different.
Pacesetter Print now happily reside in their new home, and we are proud to have been associated with their move.
